North Little Rock Animal Services is two departments in one – Animal Control and the Animal Shelter. Animal Services ensures the health and welfare of both residents and animals within city limits by taking care of abandoned animals and preventing potentially dangerous wildlife-human interactions.
Animal Control responds to an average of 500 service calls each month. The Animal Shelter adopts out an average of 600 pets each year, finding new homes all across the country through adoptions and animal rescues.
We work hard to create a city free of feral and unwanted stray animals. Our goal is to reduce the population through intense spay/neuter programs and strict enforcement of ALL North Little Rock city ordinances.
