AAHS is an all volunteer-powered nonprofit dedicated to ‘at risk’ pets in Covington County, Alabama. With emphasis on the importance of spay and neuter, we raise money throughout the year to fund our county-wide Low Cost Spay & Neuter Program.
We envision a world where all pets have responsible families and loving homes.
Founded in April 1986 as PAWS (Public Animal Welfare Society), the organization changed its name to the Andalusia Area Humane Society (AAHS) in August 1987.
AAHS is a 501(c)(3) non-profit all-volunteer humane society. Our funding comes from your tax-deductible contributions, fundraising events and all funds are used in Covington County to benefit ‘at risk’ pets.
